No tournament-bis in our country, but the Cagliari Open confirmed. Among the novelties the landing in Belgium, Denmark, Austria, France, Portugal, Holland and the Middle East
No waiting for the second Italian stage, but 13 countries ready to host the new season of the great padel: there have never been so many in the history of this sport. Here, then, is the 2022 of the World Padel Tour unveiled in the most international and longest calendar ever. United States, Spain, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Austria, France, Portugal, Holland, Argentina, Mexico, a region of the Middle East to be confirmed (probably Saudi Arabia) and, of course, Italy (with the Cagliari stage at the end of the summer) will be the nations that will host at least one tournament on the circuit.
No doubling

The total package is 24 events, all broadcast live on Sky Sports starting from the quarter-finals, in Open and Master format: the latter, the most prestigious tournaments, will be held in Valladolid, Marbella, Madrid, Middle East and Buenos Aires . Without forgetting that Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Belgium and Finland will have an event in the form of an exhibition. Where does the world tour begin? From Miami, with the initial Open on February 22nd. It closes in Barcelona, where the Estrella Damm Master Final is scheduled from 15 to 18 December, the final event that gives the title of “masters” and “teachers” of the entire season. Italy, one of the countries where the padel grows at a faster pace, has long hoped to have a second WPT stage on its territory and for months there has been talk of a concrete possibility of landing in Rome, but to represent the only the Sardinian Open will remain in our country: Cagliari will therefore be played for the third consecutive year, this time from 5 to 11 September.
