Dutch government does not rule out a new lockdown in the future

The Dutch Health Minister Ernst Kuipers cannot guarantee that there will be no new lockdown. That depends, among other things, on the possible emergence of new, seriously ill and highly contagious corona variants, against which the current vaccines do not work. That is what the minister said in the parliamentary debate about his long-term approach to corona. Parliament would prefer to avoid a lockdown.
