Andrea Pirlo has a new job: the 2006 world champion will be the new coach in the Turkish Süper Lig. He will work in Istanbul, but not at one of the three big clubs.
At Juventus Turin, Andrea Pirlo became a legend as a player. The midfielder with the razor-sharp passes made 164 competitive games for the “Bianconeri” between 2011 and 2014.
In 2020 he became coach of the second team and shortly afterwards took over the senior team. In the summer of 2021, however, Juve separated from Pirlo. After that, the 2006 world champion was without a coaching job for a year – but that will soon be over.
Because Pirlo will take over the Turkish first division club Karagümrük SK. This was announced by the club from Istanbul on Sunday.
