Emergency lane
The man from Weert is said to have had a car breakdown near Geldrop in Brabant and then parked his car on the hard shoulder. Shortly afterwards he was hit by a truck. Another passer-by saw the accident and called emergency services. These brought the Wetenaar seriously injured to the hospital in Tilburg.

Police are looking for witnesses and images from dashcams. Police are still investigating exactly how the accident happened. There is no description of the perpetrator or the truck: it would in any case be a ‘larger model truck’. The car was most likely damaged by the collision.
