Water sports house officially opened
The water sports complex in Nieuwpoort should lower the threshold for water sports and reach more young people with a new shed and a water sports house with all modern facilities. The entire water sports site at the reservoir is being upgraded to become the largest training center in our country. Investments are being made in breadth and depth, says Flanders.
To lift to a higher level
Water sports enthusiasts will receive more comfort, material and opportunities for education and training. Sport Vlaanderen wants to take our water sports to a higher level with the new infrastructure. Every year about 2000 children come here to sail and surf sports camps. 2500 students attend sports classes. And another 500 young people end up on the pond through clubs and courses.
