Man who killed his ex in 2015 is now on the National Investigation List | NOW

The Public Prosecution Service has placed Fathi A. on the National Investigation List. In 2015, the man of Libyan descent killed his ex-wife from Hoevelaken (Gelderland) with a knife. After the crime, he fled abroad. He probably resides in Libya, but it is also possible that he is elsewhere, possibly under a different name.

The 39-year-old Victoria Retsjkina, who also comes from Libya, was found on November 4, 2015 in her home on Frans Tromplaan in Hoevelaken. She had six children, five of whom with him. Some children were at home when their mother was killed.

A. was sentenced in absentia to twelve years in prison for killing his ex. He was also sentenced to two years in prison for kidnapping two of his children to Libya.

The National Investigation List is a list of the most wanted suspects and convicts in the Netherlands at that time. Although it is unusual for the Dutch police and the Public Prosecution Service, the list uses the full names and a recognizable photo.
