At the club since 2017
The future of Pascal Groß is finally clear. The central midfielder, who has long been associated with a move to Werder Bremen, has extended his expiring contract with Brighton & Hove Albion until 2024. The “Seagulls” announced this on Friday.
“He’s a great professional on and off the pitch. As one of our older players in the dressing room, he is a great role model for any young player and he has shown again this season that he is an important member of the squad and a key player for us on the pitch,” said coach Graham Potter Groß, who has been in the focus of Werder since winter. After the end of the season, a transfer to the Weser became concrete, and in mid-May there was even talk of a verbal commitment.
Groß switched from FC Ingolstadt to the Premier League in the summer of 2017, where he became a regular at Brighton. So far, the 30-year-old has made 170 appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals and providing 29 assists.
We’re delighted to announce Pascal Gross has signed a new contract until June 2024.
