Tickets, arrival, weather and line-up

We have a long festival summer ahead of us. After two years of the corona pandemic, many festivals can take place again this summer to their full extent and without extensive hygiene concepts. For the first time since 2019, the well-known Germany-wide “Rock im Park” festival will take place from June 3rd to 5th. We have an overview of all information on how to get there, tickets, line-up and weather.

Tickets:

According to the organizers, around 80% of ticket holders have exchanged their 2020 or 2021 festival tickets for new tickets. But even if you don’t have a ticket yet, you can still buy one. The “Weekend Festival Ticket” including camping costs €279. Alternatively, potential visitors can also buy tickets for individual festival days. Cost: 110 euros. All information about the ticket modalities can be found here.

The line-up of “Rock im Park”:

A top-class line-up awaits the visitors of the “Rock im Park” festival 2022. On Friday, among others, the Beatsteaks, Drangsal and Volbeat will be seen. Green Day, Marteria and the Berlin hip hop crew BHZ will be performing on Saturday. The program on Sunday is rounded off by Casper, Sondaschule and the Deftones. Here is the full timetable:

Getting to the festival :

The organizers recommend traveling by public transport. An S-Bahn line and a tram run from Nuremberg Central Station to the festival site. Visitors arriving by S-Bahn can travel to the Dutzenteich station. Passengers using the tram should get off at the Doku-Zentrum stop. The organizers explicitly refer to the 9-euro ticket, with which passengers can use local transport throughout Germany for nine euros a month.

Festival visitors arriving from the Nuremberg area can also use their bicycles. There will be secure bicycle parking spaces directly at the festival site, which cost one euro per day.

Those arriving by car can park in the designated parking spaces. A parking ticket is included with the “Weekend Tickets”, but not with the day tickets. Parking the car on the camping or caravan sites is not permitted.

The campsites open one day before the official start of the festival, on June 9th (Thursday) at 8 am.

Weather on Pentecost weekend:

The weather forecast for the Pentecost weekend raises hopes for a summery, rain-free festival experience. It’s supposed to be particularly sunny and warm on Friday, June 3rd. At temperatures of up to 26 degrees, visitors to the festival can enjoy the wide range of music on offer. On Saturday and Sunday it will be cloudy. However, the chance of rain remains low even on these days.

Shopping at “Rock im Park”:

The discount company Lidl has set up the so-called “Rockstore” on the festival site, where customers can shop at normal supermarket prices. The shop is open from Thursday (June 2) to Monday (June 6) from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.
