From 15 to 22 July iO Donna takes you, accompanied by the Deputy Director Mario Cinelli, sailing through the Arctic fjords to Norden Glacierwhere the “polar cap” reaches the sea with its millenary ice sculptures.

We will immerse ourselves in infinite silenceshere and there we will see wandering around polar bears, migratory birds, large cetaceans. It is the right time to admire the polar light of the famous “midnight sun”. And to underline the uniqueness of this remote place we will visit the Polar Science Museum, the one dedicated to the expeditions of the Norge and Italy airships.

And we will get closer to the famous Svalbard Global Seed Vault: it is the “global underground repository of the seeds of all living species”, in practice a “seed bank” created to preserve the diversity of all crops in the world.
