Don Marco & die Kleine Freiheit have announced their second album. It’s called ETERNAL AND THREE DAYS and is scheduled for release on June 17, 2022 on double vinyl and digipack CD. Band leader Don Marco, whose real name is Markus Naegele and who remembered the late Mark Lanegan for us some time ago, welcomes guests as guests, this time Kristof Hahn (Swans), Tim Jürgens (The League of Ordinary Gentlemen, Superpunk), Philip Bradatsch, Maria De Val (Me & Mary, Ganes, Angela Aux), Teresa Staffler (Drop) and Maxi Pongratz (Kofelgschroa).
To get in the mood for the album, the new pre-single “Der Boden derfacten” will be released on May 27th. The video is celebrating its premiere here and now:
In November 2021, the first single from the new album, “Fahrscheinkontrolleur”, was released.
In September 2020, the video for her debut single “Nervös” celebrated its premiere with us. On January 29, 2021 her debut album GO WITH ME UNDER was released. ME editor Thomas Winkler wrote about it in his review: “Nägele, somehow always busy in Hamburg as a booker, journalist, editor or with his band Fuck Yeah!, has German-language songs for the big performance of Don Marco & Die Kleine Freiheit for the first time written and now gets to the point of the stupid problem with capitalism and why we can’t get rid of it for the life of our necks: “How is that supposed to work? Nobody can resist money”. Because the good old rock music is allowed to play again, including ballads, stadium anthems and the very big gesture, the Willy Brandt SPD learns to rock again. It’s not Markus Nagele’s fault that it could be the funeral soundtrack for the venerable party.”
