Wendy van Dijk is not only a benefactor on television, but also in real life. She now has her car washed by a former frequent offender who spent years in prison.
Thanks to Hart in Aktie, the TV viewer has long known that Wendy van Dijk has a big heart, but also in real life she helps others in need. For example, she now even has her car washed by a former revolving door criminal who has been in prison for years. At least, that’s what the car washer in question claims in the AD.
Samir in the bin
The 30-year-old Samir tells extensively in the newspaper about his criminal past and how he got back on the right path. It started to get really lucrative once, at the age of 13, stealing tom-toms from cars. “We sometimes took ten in a day and sold them for 100 euros each.”
He soon became a professional burglar. “Each time, evidence was missing and that’s why I kept going. In fact, it became a cat-and-mouse game with the police,” he says in the newspaper. He was eventually arrested with heavy artillery. “Before I knew it, they were in my bedroom and I had red dots all over my body.”
Wash Wendy’s car
After years of grumbling in prison, Samir has now come to the right path and runs a company that cleans cars on site. “Samir’s clientele is growing and he now even cleans cars of famous Dutch people,” the AD reports.
Who then? Normally it is not done to sprinkle with names, but Samir has no problem with that. “Rappers for example, but I also visited Wendy van Dijk… just to name one example.”
Critical reactions
Very generous of Wendy, but on social media it mainly rains critical reactions. Not about Wendy, but about the fact that the AD posts this story. “Does he deserve a compliment or something? There are millions of Dutch people who have to work hard for little money and are going to give such an idiot a stage”, Marc says.
And Cookiemonster: “Shamelessly venting a criminal past. As if they are proud of their past as a ‘younger’.”
