G.LOW COST ENERATION
Type: dramatic comedy ✦✦✦
Directed by Julie Lecoustre and Emmanuel Marre. With Adèle Exarchopoulos, Mara Taquin
Really try to tell a generationas the Italian title states (the original Rien à foutre it sounds rather “I don’t care”) the film presented at the last Semaine de la critique cannense. And she does it with the portrait of the young Cassandra, hostess of an imaginary low cost, interpreted with conviction by the increasingly talented Adèle Exarchopoulos.
Lost between the routes, the vodka mignon, the myth of Dubai and the chat of meetings, Cassandra embodies a desperately wanted solitude (even the unions are rejected) that takes by the throat. Shot (really) as a documentaryis the film about work to be studied with more attention.
