★★★★ This scribe will break spears for a series the world detests. It is the story of a Canadian journalist who is looking for a big story and discovers the existence of an underground government. Myers exercises an old humor, but not for that bad: the constant caricature in the manner of the drawings of Mad magazine, but with his own body and face. Parodying conspiracy theories (beware: behind this apparently silly humor there is an idea), Myers has the excuse of making a thousand characters, always achieving a luminous moment (calling an Englishman “Lord Lordington” is a kick to political correctness ). Of the myriad jokes, perhaps only half work; but it matters less than the enormous generosity of a comedian who understands that today a certain well-produced silliness is necessary, when everyone walks around with -as Tato Bores would say with a “fly face”. He proves that he doesn’t hurt.
