FC Bayern increases offer for Gravenberch

Ryan Gravenberch is considered the ideal candidate for central midfield at FC Bayern. However, Munich is currently still playing poker with Ajax Amsterdam for the possible transfer fee. Now the German record champions have probably taken another step towards the Dutch.

As “Telegraaf” reporter Mike Verweij reports, FC Bayern has once again improved its offer for Ryan Gravenberch.

After Verweij had given concrete figures in a similar report a few days ago, the Ajax insider now has concrete information: According to this, Munich are now ready to put 18 million euros on the table as a base fee for Gravenberch. Up to five million euros are also possible as bonus payments.

An agreement between Ajax and Munich should be within reach. In the event of a resale, the Dutch would reportedly collect 7.5 percent of the transfer fee, which is then called.

It is an open secret that the Bundesliga club is considering signing the 19-year-old. “He’s a good player. We’re in talks. With a transfer like this, a lot has to fit,” said Munich’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic recently on “Sky90”.

Ajax expert expects to move to Bayern

A few days ago, Verweij explained in a podcast on “Bild” that he expected “an agreement to be reached soon if Bayern improve their offer a little.” That time now seems to have come.

A personal agreement with Gravenberch will also be “no problem”. “The player would love to play in the Bundesliga,” predicted Verweij: “I think Gravenberch will end up with FC Bayern.”

Gravenberch is only under contract with Ajax until 2023, so the Dutch champions have the last chance of a higher fee in the summer.

Born in Amsterdam, he has played for Ajax since 2010, where he went through numerous youth teams. In the current season, the Oranje youngster completed 42 competitive games. Gravenberch is currently suffering from an ankle injury.
