The son of the couple from Brihuega (Guadalajara) who appeared violently dead last Monday confessed to the Civil Guard that he had ended the life of his parents after arguing with them because he had asked them for money.

Sources close to the investigation have informed Efe that the young man, who is in provisional prison without bail as the alleged perpetrator of two crimes of homicide/murder, explained to the agents that he usually resides in Madrid but that he had gone to Brihuega to ask his parents for moneywith whom he had an argument for this reason and then ended the lives of both.

These same sources have affirmed that, after committing the acts, the accused invented an alibi that he had found the bodies of his parents when he got up siesta and that, after the discovery, he had called a friend instead of 112.

The agents doubted his version since When asked if he had seen someone leave the home, he denied it and there were no signs that the doors of the house had been forced.

The bodies of the marriage formed by Manuel, 70, and Martina, 62, were found last Monday around 4:15 p.m., when a neighbor called 112.

Their 31-year-old son was initially admitted to the Psychiatry area of the Guadalajara Hospital, on Tuesday afternoon he was arrested by the Civil Guard and on Wednesday he went to court, which decreed a reported provisional prison and no bail
