On Thursday afternoon, the police received a report from a witness who saw a truck on Bijloopwegje in Breda. The witness thought it was suspicious that bags were being transferred from this truck to a van and called the police.
When officers arrived on the scene, the van had already left, but the truck could be checked. Agents found in the cargo space between the normal load about 15 to 20 bags containing sacks, each filled with white powder. It would be about 150 kilos. “This is probably about tens of kilos of hard drugs together,” said the police. The driver, a 45-year-old man from the United Kingdom, has been arrested. The police are still investigating the drugs and their origin.
