Only one bankruptcy in Drenthe last month

April was a quiet month for the bankruptcy judge in Drenthe. Only one bankruptcy was declared, according to figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics.

The judge declared a ‘natural person with a sole proprietorship’ bankrupt. It is the first time that it CBS also includes this category of companies in the figures.

In April, not a single company or institution went bankrupt in our province. In March there were three.

Not only in Drenthe are there few bankruptcies, that is the case throughout the Netherlands. The number of companies that went bankrupt in April was the lowest number since the start of the measurements in 1981. There were 109 companies in the Netherlands that went bankrupt, 71 fewer than in March.
