A prisoner of jail de Sevilla-II escaped from prison on Monday taking advantage of a “therapeutic exit” scheduled to walk through the surrounding countryside, and could not be located, reports the Association of Officials ‘Your abandonment can kill me’. According to Diario de Sevilla and the statement reflects, the inmate took advantage of the fact that this activity had been organized to take a walk around the prison, located in Morón de la Frontera, and through the neighboring municipality of La Puebla de Cazalla. The prisoner, of Moroccan nationality, he said at one point that he had hurt his foot, but when they went to attend to him he ran away and got lost in the fields for those who walked.
Sources from Penitentiary Institutions have told EFE that it is a “breakdown of trust” rather than an escape, while the search has been activated with the support of the Civil Guard and the National Police, still without result. For the association of officials of prisons, “this type of activity is governed by the principle of trust, so the officials or members of the technical team who attended said act cannot be held responsible for the escape”.
