BVB also makes the transfer of Karim Adeyemi perfect

“Fascinated by black and yellow fast-paced football”

Adeyemi played for TSV Forstenried in Munich, for FC Bayern and for a long time in the youth team at SpVgg Unterhaching, from which he moved to Salzburg for the 2018/19 season. He first played for the Red Bull farm team FC Liefering in the second Austrian league, at the same time in the Youth League for Salzburg.

There he finally got promoted to the first team, in 2020 he signed a contract extension until 2024. He played his way up to the top, was three times Austrian double winner, U21 European champion and made his debut for the senior national team in September 2021. As a joker, he scored in injury time against Armenia. Two more international matches have been added since then.

“As a little boy, I was fascinated by black and yellow fast-paced football. That’s why it quickly became clear to me that I would like to switch to BVB when I found out about Dortmund’s interest,” said Adeyemi.

The striker is the third national player after Süle (Bayern Munich) and Schlotterbeck (SC Freiburg/both central defence) to come to BVB for the coming season. He is an arrow-fast, very agile striker, but he does not have the power of an Erling Haaland.
