Tom, Zeinab and Enzo competed against each other on Saturday evening in the final for the title of ‘Best Home Bakery in the Netherlands’. In the end, it was Enzo, full name Enzo Pérès-Labourdette, who took off with this title. He was presented with The Golden Cake Scoop by the jury.
In the finale of this ninth season, the bakers had to make a bridal buffet as a spectacle, for which they were given no less than 7.5 hours. In the end, judges Janny van der Heijden and Robèrt van Beckhoven judged that 30-year-old Enzo was the best.

The two jury members found Enzo’s vegetable baking techniques innovative and original. “He also inspired me,” said Robèrt. “He goes beyond borders, with new techniques,” said Janny.
Enzo succeeds Elizabeth who won last year’s edition as winner. Last week, he received criticism from the viewers and the jury. For example, his baking was too soft and undercooked, but he was creative and with that he made it to the final. And in that he convinced Robèrt and Janny the most.
Enzo is an artist and illustrator originally from France. According to AD was reportedly his first word gateau, which means cake. In addition to plant-based baking, he enjoys yoga and often walks through the park with his husband and their dog.
