Fans expect special moments and a McGregor at his best

Rupert Friend, who plays the Grand Inquisitor on Obi-Wan Kenobi, revealed in a recent interview that special guests will appear on the show. He also spoke about casting Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan Kenobi:

“There will be wonderful cameos from people that I can’t tell you of course, Easter eggs abound and yes, it’s an exciting ride,” said Friend. “I think it’s one of the most exciting additions to the Star Wars canon,” Friend said. “I think Ewan McGregor is doing things with this role that would be a dream for fans of the original films, we obviously can’t have Alec Guinness back, but I think Ewan was absolutely born for the role.” McGregor first took over in 1999’s ” Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace” reprises the role of Obi Wan Kenobi, previously made famous by Alec Guinness in Star Wars (1977).
