Kelly Zeeman closes professional career and chooses amateur team Ajax

Football player Kelly Zeeman will stop playing football after this season. The 28-year-old Ajax player will play in the amateur branch of the Amsterdammers after the summer.

Zeeman played nine seasons with Ajax and became national champion twice. She also won the KNVB Cup five times. In 2017 she was part of the Dutch national team that became European champion. She came in twice during that tournament.

The Amsterdammer previously played for Telstar. Last season she played on a rental basis for sc Heerenveen for six months. She became the first football player to be rented out.
