The day will start with a lot of clouds, especially in the western half. With plenty of sun in the east. Locally, showers are possible, especially in the afternoon. Weeronline expects these showers mainly in Zeeland, North Brabant, Limburg or Gelderland. “However, such a shower will probably only last a short time and it will remain dry in most places,” said Weeronline.
In the afternoon it will remain mostly dry with a mix of clouds and longer periods of sun. More local showers are expected inland.
There will be little wind on Liberation Day, with wind force one to two from variable directions. This makes it feel warmer. “Only in the afternoon can a moderate north-westerly wind pick up at the sea, wind force 3. It will then feel a bit cooler in the coastal areas.”
