IS the unmissable appointment of the Milanese spring: Orticola di Lombardia returns from 5 to 8 May at the Indro Montanelli Public Gardens for its 25th edition and, among the stands of nurserymen who offer the most beautiful plants, it also includes that of iO Donna, one of the media partners of the event.

The Market Exhibition of unusual, rare and ancient flowers, plants and fruits celebrates its anniversary with the Paeonia Orticola Milano created by the hybridizer Roberto Gamoletti and registered with the American Peony Society. As per tradition, green shopping is accompanied by a varied program of meetings. Above all we point out the Dialogues in the garden, as early as the afternoon of May 5th which sees among the guests Gi anluca Brivio Sforza, president of Orticola. The calendar of our proposals is also full. On May 5 at 4 pm the director of iO Donna Danda Santini delivers to the founder of Orticola, Francesca Marzotto Caotorta, the iO Woman Award: a painting by Nais, street artist (his creations on @nais_ marzia) very active in the city.
Milan – Io Donna Workshop in Orticola 2021
She will lead the creative workshop To plant love on Friday 6, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8: paint and invade a healing plantin which thyme, lavender, rosemary, sage, chilli pepper, chamomile are the protagonists of a relaxation event among brushes and plants, to live in harmony with nature, the theme of the 2022 edition. The workshops will be held: Friday 6 and Saturday 7 from 12 to 13.30 and from 14.30 to 16; Sunday 8 from 11 to 12.30 and from 14 to 15.30. At the stand of iO Donna you can take a souvenir photo and collect a copy of the newspaper and a sample of the fragrances of Issey Miyake, L’Eau d’Issey and L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme. Dialogues in the garden, the schedule of appointments
Among the news there is certainly “Dialogues in the garden”, a new schedule of debates and presentations with international guests, institutional personalities and botanical experts. The first appointment will be the meeting dedicated to “Eco-sustainability between Milan and London” Thursday 5 May at 5 pm, in the presence of Gianluca Brivio Sforza and Filippo Pizzoni, respectively President and Vice President of Orticola di Lombardia, Enrica Roddolo, Corriere della Sera journalist and writer, moderates the meeting entitled “Eco-sustainability between Milan and London”.
Friday 6 May at 11in the Dugnani Course Area 1 Filippo Pizzoni, together with Michael Marriott, one of the most important rhodologists in the world, also known as a designer of rose gardens and for his cultivation criteria, and Paolo Pozzo, owner of the homonymous nursery, will lead to the discovery from “The English roses, born from the inspiration of one of the greatest European hybridizers, David Austin”.

On Saturday 7th in the Dugnani Courses Area 1 and on Sunday 8th at the D’Aleo Agricultural Company space, again at 11.00 am, we will go instead “Discovering passion flower” curated by Maurizio Vecchia, owner of the Italian National Collection of Passiflora, certified by the Italian Botanical Society, which includes 400 vases and over 250 taxa.
