Local artists on the move to Local Heroes in Kortrijk

With the Local Heroes project, VI.BE challenges everyone to organize one big ode to local musical talent in one day, together with the rest of Flanders and Brussels. Several Kortrijk musical partners have joined forces and are getting ready to offer a stage to 32 artists on Saturday.

Axel Ronse, Alderman for Culture in Kortrijk, is proud of the initiative: “This is the largest stage for local artists throughout the year! Those first performances form a music group, so they grow towards even more playing opportunities and larger stages. See you at Werchter!†

Local Heroes was already in its fourth edition in Kortrijk. The stages were spread over various locations such as Départ, Foyer Départ, Howest Campus – The Penta, JC Tranzit, de Vuurplaats, Hangar K and Urban Sports Park.
