“Against Time” (English original title: “Nick of Time”) is a thriller from the year 1995. The highlight of the somewhat forgotten but worth seeing film: It plays in real time – 85 minutes of feature film length correspond to 85 minutes in the life of Characters. Johnny Depp stars in the lead role, and Christopher Walken is another big name. Also starring: Courtney Chase, Charles S. Dutton, Roma Maffia, Marsha Mason and Peter Strauss.
The plot of “Time Management”
“Time Management” was directed by John Badham. In it, Depp plays Gene Watson — a man who comes to Los Angeles, California, on a business trip after his ex-wife’s funeral. There he and his daughter are kidnapped by two blackmailers (Walken and Maffia), who initially pretend to be police officers. The criminals set an explosive condition: either Watson shoots California governor Eleanor S. Grant within an hour — or his daughter is killed. Thrills, intrigue and conspiracies follow.

Patrick Sheane Duncan wrote the screenplay, and Badham produced “Against the Time.” If you want to see Johnny Depp for once without any resemblance to characters from the “Pirates of the Carribean” or the Tim Burton cosmos, you should definitely tune in. However, you should bring along a little B-movie stamina — if you do, you’re dealing with a thoroughly entertaining, slightly anachronistic thriller.
