In the midst of the 2021 Income Campaign, there are many who have already submitted their settlements to the Tax Agency, including many who have already received their returns in their bank account.

Despite the fact that when making the income statement each and every detail must be taken into account, it can happen to many people that they end up presenting it with an error. But all is not lost. Treasury allows to do what is called complementary declaration to solve what has happened to us, or what is the same, box 107.

Thus, the supplementary return will be made as long as the error or omission detected by the taxpayer “supposes a higher income than that made in the initial declaration, or a lower return“.

In this case, through the aforementioned box 107 It can be fixed, since it is there where the complementary declaration will be reflected and, in short, your intention to voluntarily regularize the error that you have initially made in the liquidation.

The Tax Agency itself offers a explanatory video to do it:

How to make a supplementary declaration

The taxpayer must enter the IRPF section of the Tax Agency and then click on ‘2021 Income Campaign’. There, you must click on ‘All procedures’, a screen on which the optionModification of a tax return already filed‘.

The taxpayer must access the Income draft as he did to file the return.

Within Renta WEB, the taxpayer must click on ‘Modify declaration‘ when you access the home screen. At that time, the system will give you several options, among which you have to choose ‘Modify filed tax return‘. The Treasury explains that the new declaration “must include all the information, both the new or modified data, and those already correctly reflected in the original declaration.

At that moment you must fill in box 107 of the declaration, the one corresponding to the complementary declaration. You must click on one of the two available options: in the cases of lower returns that the Tax Agency has not yet transferred or in the rest of the cases. If it is the second case, Renta WEB will open a new screen in which you will have to indicate the corresponding cause and the initial result of the return, that is, the one you want to correct.

With the data changed, you can submit the return by clicking on ‘Submit return’, where you must indicate the type of taxation, the type of income, the mode of payment (if it is ‘pay’) and finally click on ‘Accept’.
