AC Milan beats Lazio in injury time and returns to the top
AC Milan has regained the lead in Serie A. The team of trainer Stefano Pioli narrowly won the away game against Lazio on Sunday: 1-2.
Midfielder Sandro Tonali scored the winning goal in the 92nd minute. Olivier Giroud had brought Milan alongside in the early stages of the second half.
Ciro Immobile opened the scoring for Lazio in the 4th minute. The attacker already has 26 goals in the league this season. Immobile scored 36 goals in the 2019/2020 season and 29 in 2017/2018. On the list of all-time top scorers in Serie A, Immobile now occupies fifteenth place with 181 goals. Argentinian Gabriel Batistuta is fourteenth with 184 goals.
