Monster score for Ajax Women unleashed

Ajax Women has made mincemeat of Excelsior. The team from Amsterdam won in Kralingen 2-8 from the last in the Eredivisie for women. The team of trainer Danny Schenkel therefore keeps an eye on the national title.

Via Romée Leuchter and Tiny Hoekstra, Ajax Women already had a comfortable 2-0 lead within twenty minutes. Rachel Kleine brought Excelsior back into the game with the connecting goal, but that turned out to be just false hope for a good result.

Ajax Women extended their lead to 3-1 before half-time thanks to a goal from Leuchter, who would eventually score four goals in the match. After the break, Ajax Women continued on the set course and waltzed over the last number. Chasity Grant, Sherida Spitse, Romée Leuchter and Tiny Hoekstra made it 8-2. Iris van Bokhoven’s goal was only for the statistics.

After the monster score, Ajax Women continues to follow in the footsteps of leader FC Twente. The team from Amsterdam is three points behind in the knowledge that both teams will meet each other on the last round.
