HANDBALL – The battle for the Dutch title is anything but successful for Hurry-Up. Tonight the Zwartemeerders lost 32-31 to BEVO from Panningen in the last seconds. Due to the defeat, Hurry-Up remains on 1 point in the HandbalNL League after four games.

Hurry-Up started the game strongly and quickly took a few points lead. The hosts from Limburg, however, quickly returned to the game and kept a small lead each time. BEVO eventually went into halftime with a 17-14 lead.

Hurry-Up showed character in the second half and the deficit was quickly made up. In the last fifteen minutes, the teams were not inferior to each other and the team of coach Joop Fiege even took a lead a few minutes before the end. With 10 seconds left on the clock, BEVO made the 32-31 and Hurry-Up’s last attack yielded no hit.

The national championship seems far away for the Zwartemeerders after the defeat. Quintus will visit next week, which has not yet scored a point in the HandbalNL League.
