The actor Nicholas Braun, known from the dramedy series “Succession”, is writing together with Chris Buongiorno on a new series for the American television channel HBO. It will be called “Once for the Road” and will be about an indie band in the 2000s. It has been described as “an intimate and candid story of a talented but chaotic band”. Braun and Buongiorno will not only write the screenplay, but also be directly involved in the implementation.
While Nicholas Braun has only been in front of the camera so far, his co-writer Chris Buongiorno already has experience as a producer. He was involved in the three Spider-Man films “No Way Home”, “Homecoming” and “Frar from Home”. He also wrote and directed the short films 127 Seconds, 100 Monkeys: Modern Times and Emergency Broadcast.
Nicholas Braun has a lot of experience as an actor. In addition to the nine Emmy-winning television series Succession, Braun has appeared in a number of other series and films, including the critically acclaimed drama Maybe Dear Tomorrow and most recently the tragic comedy Zola. There is no concrete start date for “Once for the Road” yet. But it is already known that the episode length is set at about half an hour.
