Dyab Abou Jahjah was once public enemy number one in Belgium. Now the former leader of the Arab-European League (AEL) is acting as an advocate of Western values. In a new book, the former activist, now a teacher in a poor neighborhood of Brussels, warns about the danger of authoritarian movements: “Woke, right-wing extremism and Islamism undermine our liberal democracy.”
