Dortmund (dpa) – According to dpa information, national soccer player Karim Adeyemi will switch from Red Bull Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund in the coming season.
Sport1, “Bild” and the TV pay channel Sky had previously reported that both clubs had agreed on a transfer of the 20-year-old. Adeyemi has a five-year contract, only the signature of the courted offensive player is still missing. Execution should take place promptly.
After Munich’s Niklas Süle (26) and Freiburg’s Nico Schlotterbeck (22), Adeymi is the third German international to switch to BVB.
There are various statements about the amount of the transfer fee, from 30 to 38 million euros according to media reports. In addition, bonus payments could add another six million euros in the coming years, as reported by Sky.
Adeyemi’s contract in Salzburg runs until June 30, 2024. There has been speculation for months about a change after this season. Salzburg’s coach Matthias Jaissle also said before the Champions League exit at Bayern Munich that he was expecting a corresponding step.
