VfL Wolfsburg played furiously a week after the 1:6 debacle in Dortmund and lead 5:0 after 45 minutes against Mainz 05! The wolves were the more active team from the start and took the lead early on due to the wind. When Tauer fouled Nmecha a little later and saw red for it, it was finally over for the guests. Max Kruse added a three-pack for the hosts who played freely, and wind also hit again.
