TSG 1899 Hoffenheim has to fear further failures of key players on the defensive in the final spurt of the season.
For the game at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday (3:30 p.m.), Chris Richards, Benjamin Hübner and Stefan Posch could be out.
According to “kicker”, Richards suffered a “structural injury on the front of his right thigh” in the 0-0 draw against SpVgg Greuther Fürth and is unlikely to play in the game with the Hessians. He could even face the end of the season, as the specialist magazine reports.
It is also unclear how Captain Hübner will continue. He had made a strong comeback after a protracted injury, but was then thrown back by a corona infection and back problems.
Austria’s Posch suffered a laceration against Fürth when he collided with team-mate Diadie Samassékou. His assignment in Frankfurt is also open.
