Ukraine is still fighting in the port city of Mariupol, despite a past ultimatum from Russia by which the Russian Defense Ministry hoped to force the Ukrainian army to surrender. During his Easter address, Pope Francis called for reconciliation between the two countries and an end to “brotherly hatred”.
