Samsung has released an important update for 21 of its Galaxy smartphones, closing approximately 60 security vulnerabilities, including 5 critical weaknesses.

The South Korean manufacturer Samsung is currently distributing the July security update for its smartphones. According to the company, the patch closes around 60 security vulnerabilities, including 5 classified as “critical” by security experts.
These vulnerabilities can allow attackers to crash the system using manipulated images, execute malicious code, or gain unauthorized access. Thus, it is advisable to install the update as soon as possible.

According to leaker Tarun Vats and fan blog SamMobile, the patch has so far been released in South Korea for the following devices. It is now also available for the S26 series worldwide.

Gradually, the update should also be available for remaining models in other countries. Currently, Samsung reports that it distributes security patches to about 40 smartphones and tablets on a monthly basis. Additionally, over 50 other models are updated quarterly, which will likely coincide with the security patches for August and September in September.
