Leaked screenshots illustrate the new design of the Galaxy Wearable app for One UI 9 Watch. This timing is quite opportune, as a Galaxy Unpacked event is expected on July 22, 2026, where Samsung will likely unveil the new Galaxy Watch 9 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Thanks to images from SammyGuru, users can now see how the app will change and the adjustments they may need to make.
Galaxy Watch: The New Look of the Galaxy Wearable App
The most striking new feature is a compact, floating tab bar located at the bottom of the screen, divided into three sections: “Watch Faces,” “Home” for connected devices, and “Settings.” Overall, Samsung has opted for a more visually appealing design. The icons have transitioned to a monochrome palette, allowing the app to better align with the aesthetic of other Samsung apps integrated with One UI 8.5.
Users who previously only saw the watch casing at the top of the app will now have a complete view of the watch, including the band and color, displaying prominently in the center of the screen. This makes it easy for users to see how different watch faces affect the overall appearance of the watch. What’s New with One UI 9?
The revamped app comes with several exciting features. Galaxy AI is set to introduce personalized tiles that will recommend based on user interests and frequently accessed functionalities. Samsung mentions examples such as real-time sports scores, stock prices, and news updates. This feature draws similarities to Google’s “Create My Widget” option introduced for Wear OS 7 at the I/O 2026 event.
Additionally, according to SammyGuru, users will be able to start a conversation with the Gemini AI more easily by simply raising their wrist towards their mouth. Lastly, Samsung has also included an image of the watch itself in the device information section, although placeholder images are currently in use.
