A motorist drove straight through a caravan on the A58 on Thursday night. This happened around a quarter to one, near Breda. The accident caused massive havoc on the road.
There were two people in the car used to transport the caravan. They escaped unscathed. Their car came to a stop 150 meters away after the collision. The caravan was completely destroyed.
Hospital
The driver of the car that drove through the moving caravan was taken to a hospital by ambulance. An air ambulance was initially called after the collision, but it was later cancelled.
How the accident could have happened is under investigation.
Road closed
After the accident, the road near Breda was closed. The rest of the traffic was directed past the petrol pump.
