Patrice Aminati has once again sent a message to her fans, though this time, it’s not the most positive news. She must unfortunately forgo a new therapy approach.

On July 14, Aminati took to her Instagram Story to inform her followers that she was at the University Hospital in Dresden for an examination. However, the real reason behind her video was quite different. Many fans had sent her videos over the past few days regarding a new therapy that is being offered in Dresden.

In her video, she expressed gratitude to her followers: “I want to sincerely thank you all for sending me videos about a therapy that is being conducted here in Dresden.” Unfortunately, she then shared disappointing news; she had been assessed for this new form of therapy some time ago and was declined. “Unfortunately, this therapy is not an option for me,” she stated.

The main issue? Her HLA type.

Wrong HLA Type

HLA stands for Human Leukocyte Antigens, which are unique tissue markers found on the surface of body cells. Aminati explained her situation by saying, “My genetic body cell structure unfortunately does not respond to it. But for those who are HLA positive, it is a significant advancement, and this therapy can genuinely help them. Unfortunately, that’s not the case for me.”

New Cancer Therapy in Dresden

Aminati then shared the video that her followers had sent her, which discusses an experimental cell and gene therapy at the University Hospital in Dresden. This therapy involves genetically modifying patients’ defense cells in a lab, allowing them to recognize a specific tumor characteristic and target the cancer cells effectively.

This type of therapy is still in the early stages of research. Each year, around 30 to 40 new patients with advanced tumors are recruited for the study.
