Tennis players compete with Spain in Den Bosch for participation in the Finals

The Dutch tennis players will compete with Spain on Friday and Saturday for participation in the Billie Jean King Cup Finals. The meeting will be played on an indoor clay court in Den Bosch.

The matches in the Maaspoort start on Friday at 2 p.m. Arantxa Rus takes on Nuria Párrizas Díaz in the first match of the day, then Lesley Pattinama-Kerkhove meets Sara Sorribes Tormo.

Spain cannot have the two best players in the country. Garbiñe Muguruza already canceled the meeting in Brabant last month and a few days ago Paula Badosa also announced that she was not participating.

The Netherlands can qualify for the first time for the final tournament of the Billie Jean King Cup, the new version of the Fed Cup.

Elise Tamaëla makes her debut as captain for the Dutch squad. She has taken over the position from Paul Haarhuis, who is still responsible for the Davis Cup team.
