The Pokémon GO Hyperbonus Event Is Here: Exciting Bonuses Await!
This year marks a decade since the launch of Pokémon GO, and trainers’ initial reactions to the anniversary event were less than enthusiastic. The feedback suggested that the early celebrations felt a bit bland. Yet, the summer of celebrations has evolved, and now the Hyperbonus event is set to take everything to the next level, starting from July 21, 2026.
What’s the Hyperbonus: 10-Year Edition?
Kicking off at 10:00 AM on July 21 and running until 8:00 PM on July 27, the Hyperbonus event brings numerous bonuses spread out over several days. Central to the festivities are the starter Pokémon, each of which may sport a special background aligned with your team’s colors. Trainers can also expect significant experience points (XP) bonuses throughout the event, which are categorized by day:
- **July 21 – 23, 10:00 AM**
- Receive six times the catch XP
- Encounter starters from Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn
- **July 23 – 25, 10:00 AM**
- Receive eight times the catch XP
- Encounter starters from Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos
- **July 25, 10:00 AM to July 27, 8:00 PM**
- Receive ten times the catch XP
- Encounter starters from Alola, Galar, and Paldea
Additional Features and Events
Throughout the event, incense will attract Pokémon such as Tanhel, Kaumalat, and Grolldra, along with other yet-to-be-announced creatures. In raids, trainers can expect to battle themed Pokémon like Sleima, Rattikarl, Nidorino, Gengar, and Woingenau adorned with party hats.
Moreover, trainers can evolve their starter Pokémon into their final forms, enabling them to learn powerful signature moves: Aquahaubitze (Water), Lohekanonade (Fire), and Flora-Statue (Grass).
For those interested in bonuses, there’ll also be a GO Pass available, featuring a chance to receive an exclusive Gold Incense.
Celebrating Professor Willow!
In addition to the Hyperbonus event, July 21 also marks the birthday celebration of Professor Willow. As part of this special occasion, you will have access to an Assist Pikachu. All the exclusive bonuses tied to the Professor Willow event can be found on the Pokémon GO website.
