18 shipwrecks get extra protection

These include a torpedo boat from 1908, a British sailing ship from 1804 and a German steamer from 1906. In total, more than 50 shipwrecks have already been recognized as cultural heritage. An estimated 280 wrecks lie off our coast. Fishing or dredging is prohibited in a radius of 150 meters around the 18 shipwrecks with extra protection. The shipping police, customs and defense will monitor compliance with the ban.
