Diego Pooth has left Berlin and moved back to Meerbusch near Düsseldorf, the place where he grew up. The move was so sudden that even his mother, Verona Pooth, was surprised.

Diego Pooth (22) has returned to his old home. The son of Verona (58) and Franjo Pooth (56) has left Berlin and is now living in Meerbusch, Düsseldorf. He grew up in this city, and the speed of the move took even his mom by surprise.
On Instagram, the host expressed her astonishment, stating, “He suddenly appeared, and I couldn’t believe it,” she shared in a story. Shortly after, she elaborated, “The biggest news: Diego has moved to Meerbusch. Out of Berlin. I don’t even know how this happened.”
Girlfriend Louisa Moves to Meerbusch with Him
Diego himself documented the move for his followers. Alongside pictures of a fully loaded moving truck, he expressed, “I can’t believe how fast and spontaneous this move was.” The images featured stacked furniture, luggage, and numerous boxes.
Diego wasn’t alone in this endeavor. As reported by the “Villa der Versuchung” host, her son arrived in Meerbusch with his girlfriend Louisa Büscher (23) and their dog Daisy, stating, “With a huge moving truck and Louisa in tow, along with Daisy.”
Diego’s career plans remain unchanged, as he had moved to Berlin in early 2024 after ending his golf career in Florida. Upon returning to Germany, he founded a supplement startup and began studying product management at a private university. His mother expressed her excitement for his continued education, saying, “Of course, he continues to study. I’m curious but extremely happy.”
Return to a Familiar Place – But the Reason Remains a Secret
Diego spent his childhood and youth in Meerbusch. Just last June, his parents sold their longtime villa in the area. The family had already relocated their primary residence to Dubai by 2025, where Diego’s younger brother Rocco (15) attends an international school. Since then, father Franjo has been commuting between Düsseldorf and the desert metropolis.

Verona is delighted that her oldest son is now back in familiar surroundings. She expressed, “That means every time I come back, I’ll have my whole family around me. That’s a dream. I’m totally excited.”
Though the reasons for Diego’s sudden departure from Berlin remain undisclosed, there are several arguments in favor of living in North Rhine-Westphalia. His grandmother Elke, to whom he is particularly close, resides in the region. Additionally, his girlfriend Louisa is from Düsseldorf and works in North Rhine-Westphalia.

This relocation coincides with Diego’s rising television presence. On July 8, 2026, he walked the red carpet at the preview event of the reality series “Born Famous” at the Astor Cinema in Hamburg, accompanied by Gloria-Sophie Burkandt (27), Summer Terenzi (20), and Josefine Scholl (18), all without their famous parents. The four aim to establish a name for themselves, showcasing what it’s like to grow up in the spotlight.
In addition to the “Let’s Dance” winner, the series will also feature their famous parents, including Franjo and Verona Pooth, Markus Söder (59), Sarah Connor (46), and Mehmet Scholl (55). “Born Famous” will premiere on July 16, 2026, at 8:15 PM on ProSieben and Joyn.
