Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is now available. How does Ubisoft’s revamped pirate adventure perform on your PC or handheld compared to other systems in the community? Find out in the new Community Benchmark. All you need is the game and our guidance. Let’s set sail, pirate!

On July 9, 2026, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, a modern remake of the 13-year-old classic, launched for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The editorial team has already shared initial performance insights regarding the PC version, and now the community is invited to join the conversation. Such a significant release certainly warrants a new Community Benchmark, especially since the pirate adventure features an integrated benchmark tool.

From a technical standpoint, Black Flag Resynced is a comprehensive remake, complete with a brand-new technological foundation. The latest version of Ubisoft’s Anvil Engine is utilized, offering broad upsampling support, frame generation, and, of course, ray tracing. The game boasts fully dynamic global illumination through ray tracing (RTGI) and ray tracing reflections. For older or less powerful systems, software ray tracing is available as a fallback option.

Your Benchmark Results at a Glance

Below, you will find all submitted test results from both the editorial team and the community. For each resolution setting, there is not only a list of all results but also GPU and CPU performance ratings that reflect the average of submitted results for a specific GPU or CPU. Individual results can also be displayed if desired.

WQHD (Preset “Extreme High”)

UWQHD (Preset “Extreme High”)

UHD (Preset “Extreme High”)

Full HD (Preset “Very Low”)

How to Test in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced

The editorial team relies entirely on the integrated benchmark mode found in Ubisoft’s game settings. This approach eliminates the need for manual FPS measurement using external software and tedious manipulation of save game files, making the benchmarking process simple and speedy. Additionally, this significantly reduces the chance of accidental errors in FPS measurement.

These are the Settings

The benchmark profiles specify four resolutions. WQHD (2560 x 1440), UWQHD (3440 x 1440), and UHD (3840 x 2160) will be tested with high, yet not maximum graphic settings, while Full HD (1920 x 1080) serves as the standard low-end fallback with reduced settings and without ray tracing to accommodate older systems and handheld PCs.

Participants must ensure that V-Sync, FPS limit, and dynamic resolution are disabled while starting from the factory settings in the “Display” tab. Furthermore, the upscaling type should align with the GPU manufacturer. GeForce users should select DLSS, Radeon users FSR, and Intel Arc users XeSS, all in quality mode. Frame generation must remain disabled.

Scalability Settings

Under the “Scalability” tab, only two relevant options are available at the top. For WQHD, UWQHD, and UHD, the ray tracing mode must be set to “Advanced,” with the overall preset set to “Extreme High.” This is the highest preset available in Black Flag Resynced. Individual graphics options can indeed be set higher, but for the sake of simplicity, the Community Benchmark will not pursue this.

For Full HD, aside from the resolution, the display settings remain identical. In the “Scalability” tab, the ray tracing mode should be set to “Off” and the preset to “Very Low.” These aren’t the lowest settings available, but they represent an acceptable compromise for the Community Benchmark.

Other Preparations

For the benchmark, the latest graphics drivers should be used. All three major manufacturers have released optimized versions specifically for Black Flag Resynced, and the editorial team recommends sticking to these for comparability:

  • AMD Radeon: Adrenalin 26.6.4
  • Nvidia GeForce: GeForce 610.74
  • Intel Arc: 8861

Additionally, users should avoid using FPS limiters in their graphics drivers or overriding upscaling versions through the Nvidia or Adrenalin software to prevent skewing measurement results.

Integrated Benchmark with Result View

The integrated benchmark mode can be accessed directly from the “System” menu or in the settings under the “Display” and “Scalability” tabs, either via the F2 key or the button at the bottom of the screen.

After running the approximately two-minute benchmark sequence, the central graphic settings, along with the achieved frame rate, will be presented in a results screen. The average FPS is the only relevant metric. Ideally, you should upload a screenshot when submitting results to facilitate verification for both the editorial team and other community members.

Submit Your Results Here

Results obtained through the integrated benchmark must be submitted through the following form, providing system information through dropdowns and checkboxes. Further details can be found in the following article:

  • Community Benchmarks 2.0: Everything You Need to Know to Participate!

To minimize errors, only the total FPS will be requested, as displayed in the game without decimal points.

To participate, you must have a ComputerBase account. Registering requires only a valid email address:

Submitting a form automatically creates a post in the comment thread of this article, while the submitted results are directly entered into the database. Please double-check everything’s accuracy before submitting!

Participants can edit their comment in the forum to add further information, including optional screenshots of results or details regarding chosen OC clock rates or cTDP settings. The form doesn’t need to be filled out completely; individual results can be submitted. Further metrics can be provided through a subsequent form submission, but please submit each result only once!

Happy Benchmarking!
