The countdown for Airbeat One 2026 in Neustadt-Glewe is on. From July 8 to 12, around 200,000 visitors from over 60 countries are expected to flock to the festival taking place at the airfield in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. Organizers have confirmed that approximately 350 DJs and artists will take the stage on ten stages, including renowned names like Boris Brejcha, Charlotte de Witte, Timmy Trumpet, and Scooter.

Focus on the Netherlands

This year’s theme for Airbeat One is the “Netherlands”, a country that has distinctly shaped the electronic music scene. Just as in previous years, the entire venue will be decorated to match this theme. The exact appearance of the main stage remains a closely guarded secret until shortly before the festival begins. However, early glimpses of the stage design reveal vibrant structures reminiscent of the colorful houses typical of Amsterdam.

25 Years of Airbeat One

Since 2014, Airbeat has transformed the Neustadt-Glewe airfield into famous landmarks from around the world. Previous themes have included places such as the Maya civilization, Rome, Asia, America, England, India, Italy, Germany, France, and Spain. The theme for the next Airbeat will traditionally be announced on the final day of the festival, making this year particularly intriguing as it marks the 25th anniversary of the largest festival in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Early Arrival on Tuesday

Camping is an integral part of the festival experience for many attendees. The festival grounds will officially open to camping on Wednesday at 10 AM. However, for those eagerly anticipating the event, early access can be purchased for Tuesday starting at 4 PM. The camping areas will remain open until Sunday at 6 PM. Residents of Neustadt-Glewe and surrounding areas can join the festivities for free on one of the festival days, provided they are 16 years or older and can show a valid ID with their registered address.

Shuttle Bus from the Station to the Festival

Between July 8 and 12, the influx of approximately 200,000 visitors may lead to crowded roads and train stations. Travelers should expect delays during this period. While many guests will arrive by car or camper, the organizers also encourage the use of buses and trains. A free shuttle service will run directly from Neustadt-Glewe station to the festival grounds, with Ludwigslust station offering additional bus connections for a fee. There will also be shuttle services from various cities in Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Poland.

No Glass Bottles or Open Fires

When preparing for the festival, it is advisable to leave glass bottles at home, as a strict glass ban will be enforced across the festival and camping areas. Only cosmetics in glass containers are exempt. Open flames are also prohibited, but grilling is permitted at the camping site.

Airbeat One is not just a festival; it’s a celebration of electronic music, uniting fans from around the globe. For the summer of 2026, the excitement is palpable, promising unforgettable experiences and a vibrant atmosphere. With countless performances from top DJs and the unique theme this year, attendees are in for a treat that will resonate long after the last beat drops.
