Japan defeated Tunisia 4-0 in the 2nd match of 2026 FIFA World Cup Group F. The goals that brought Japan the victory were scored by Daichi Kamada in the 4th minute, Ayase Ueda in the 31st and 84th minutes and Junya Ito in the 69th minute.
With this match, Japan increased its points to 4 before the last matches of the group stage and ranked 2nd after the Netherlands with goal difference. Tunisia, on the other hand, could not score any points in its second match and bid farewell to the World Cup.
After the defeat against Sweden, Tunisia parted ways with coach Sabri Lamouchi and appointed Herve Renard as the head of the team, and lost in the first match with Renard.
