The report of the person in the water was received by the control room around 7:10 PM. For unknown reasons, the child got into trouble in the water at Luna Beach.
The child was removed from the water and then rushed to hospital by emergency services, police said. It is unknown how the child is doing now.
Police are investigating what happened, but “everything points to it being an accident,” the spokesperson said.
