“Get out of there, kid” It is a traditional popular children’s song of anonymous authorship that has been passed down orally through generations. Although there have been versions of this topic, the one spread by Rodrigo Lussich on his social networks deserves a separate place for his originality and his way of addressing current political events regarding the figure of Manuel Adorni.

The historic presenter of Intruders used his X account to refer to the situation that the Chief of Staff is experiencing with a musical adaptation called “Get out of there, Manolo.” “Javo wants me to be consul in Miami, Karina doesn’t want to make the cake, Congress doesn’t want to throw the jet, Javo doesn’t want to throw the jet, the jet doesn’t want to get out of there,” is one of the comic passages of the readapted song.

Adorni’s political and judicial situation is experiencing its most dramatic hours after the television interview he gave to journalist José del Rio on the Mesa Chica program on LN+ last week. In that media space, the libertarian official rehearsed a public defense that, far from calming the waters, deepened the institutional crisis around him. The splinters of his own statements had a full impact on the Casa Rosada, unleashing a wave of rumors about his imminent resignation from office, a possibility that the coordinator of ministers himself admitted to having evaluated by confessing verbatim that he thought about stepping aside due to the pain caused by the tenor of the accusations and that President Milei ruled out outright.

Many analyzes agree that the discursive strategy of the main spokesperson of the Casa Rosada ended up cornering him: his public justification of having “saved in the black” with his wife for twenty-five years as a way to “escape from the old politics” was received with severe criticism and a profound reading of political weakness. The main editorials pointed out the ethical contradiction of a Government that promotes fiscal order while its main spokesperson and ministerial coordinator justifies financial informality and tax evasion.

The legislative siege, with the specter of a motion of censure in the Senate and pressure from opposition blocs and allies to remove him, forced the ruling party to make maneuvers to postpone sessions and gain time, establishing in public opinion the perception that Adorni maintains a low profile and reduced activity to avoid a greater cost to the president, who for now formally maintains his confidence.

The explanations given on the television set about his assets immediately set off the alarms of the Federal Justice, accelerating the times of a criminal investigation for alleged illicit enrichment and falsification of public documents instructed by the judge Ariel Lijo and prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita. Faced with the inconsistencies detected in his sworn statements before the Anti-Corruption Office, Adorni was forced to present hasty asset rectifications reporting a total wealth of almost 944 million pesos (equivalent to about 900,000 dollars), which represents a jump in assets of more than 500% since his arrival in the State.

To try to justify such an increase before the General Directorate of Economic and Financial Advice in Investigations (DAFI), he detailed having obtained significant profits of 300,000 dollars through an investment of 200,000 dollars in Bitcoins carried out between 2014 and 2018. However, the traceability of this blockchain operation is under strict expert opinion of the National Securities Commission (CNV) due to the lack of supporting documentation, to which is added the delicate omission detected by the Justice of not having presented the reserved annex with his wife’s assets, Bettina Angeletti. The judicial siege was extended with requests for reports from Immigration regarding trips on private jets and luxury consumption, while on a parallel front, prosecutor Guillermo Marijuan requested the investigation of his brother, Francisco Adorni, for similar irregularities in his statements.

The chronicle of the judicial investigation put under the magnifying glass a network of striking and dubious real estate operations crossed by crossed debts, interest-free loans from individuals and transactions well below market value. The modus operandi investigated by prosecutor Pollicita sheds light on the acquisition of an apartment at 500 Miró Street, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Caballito, and a previous property on 1100 Assembly Avenue, in Parque Chacabuco. In these commercial transactions, the notary took on a central role. Adriana Monica Nechevenko, an extremely trusted professional of the family who not only certified the deeds under suspicion, but also recorded at least seven striking visits to Adorni’s office in the Casa Rosada between 2024 and 2025, becoming a key witness summoned to the Comodoro Py courts.

According to the records of the judicial file, the sellers and alleged financiers of the department of Caballito were two retirees identified as Beatriz Viegas (72 years old) and Claudia Sbabo (64 years old). According to testimonial statements collected in federal courts, these women granted the Chief of Staff an unusual private loan of $200,000 to be paid within a year and with a 0% interest rate.

In this way, the case went in just three months from a series of journalistic complaints about properties and expenses allegedly incompatible with the declared income to a political, parliamentary and judicial controversy of national scope, aggravated by the public admission of Adorni himself that he maintained undeclared assets and that they were only incorporated into his asset presentations, requesting the tax innocence regime, after the investigations had begun.
