“He was an important person in the group. Perhaps the most important”: ‘De Mol’ winner Bernard (34) talks for the first time about the sudden loss of Michaël (43)

The death of Michaël Moens (43) hit his fellow candidates of ‘De mol’ like a bombshell. The grateful and open-hearted ‘Mikey Mo’ – as the group called him – chose to take his own life and leaves a great void. To honor him and support his family, the candidates set up a crowdfunding for the Metabolic Diseases Support Fund, from which his 2-year-old daughter previously died. “We would love to talk to him one more time,” says ‘The Mole’ winner Bernard (34). “And tell him what he always said: ‘It will always work out.’”
